Welcome to City Vocal Coach. These terms set out the basis on which we provide our singing lessons, courses, and related services. They explain how City Vocal Coach works, what you can expect from us and your teacher, and what we ask of you in return.

Singing Lessons — Terms of Service
These terms apply to one-to-one singing lessons booked through City Vocal Coach.
About City Vocal Coach and our teachers
City Vocal Coach operates as an agency. We connect students with self-employed vocal coaches and provide the studio, booking systems, and support that make lessons possible.
Your lessons are provided by your self-employed teacher. City Vocal Coach acts as agent, introducing you to your teacher and facilitating bookings and payments on their behalf.
Your teacher is responsible for the delivery of your lessons.
Booking and payment
Lessons and lesson blocks are booked through City Vocal Coach and paid for via our secure payment provider (Stripe) using the payment link your teacher provides.
Payment is due at the time of booking.
Lessons are confirmed once payment is received.
Prices are as agreed with your teacher and as shown at the time of booking.
Discovery calls
New students begin with a free discovery call to discuss their goals and be matched with a suitable teacher. There is no obligation to book lessons following a discovery call.
Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be treated as used, at your teacher’s discretion. Many teachers will offer flexibility, and rescheduling is handled directly with your teacher.
Lesson blocks are paid for in advance. Where a refund is requested, it will be considered on a case-by-case basis; our preference is always to reschedule rather than refund.
Any refunds due will be arranged through City Vocal Coach.
Lesson blocks
Lesson blocks are booked and paid for in advance and offer a reduced per-lesson rate.
Blocks should be used within a reasonable period. Please arrange the timing of your lessons directly with your teacher.
Your teacher
We aim to provide continuity with your teacher. If your teacher becomes unavailable, we will work with you to arrange an alternative teacher where possible.
The relationship between you and your teacher is a professional one. We ask that both students and teachers treat one another with respect and courtesy.
Conduct
We want lessons to be a positive, supportive experience. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue lessons where a student’s behaviour is disrespectful, unsafe, or inappropriate.
Health and wellbeing
Please let your teacher know of any health conditions, injuries, or vocal concerns so they can teach you safely.
Singing is a physical activity. You take part in lessons at your own risk and are responsible for your own wellbeing.
Liability
City Vocal Coach accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury except where caused by our negligence, and nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.
As lessons are delivered by self-employed teachers, responsibility for the delivery of lessons rests with your teacher.
We are not responsible for personal belongings brought to the studio.
Data protection
We collect your personal details solely to administer your lessons, connect you with your teacher, and communicate with you. We handle your data in line with UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy.
Your teacher will have access to the information needed to teach you and communicate with you.

Open Mic Ready Course — Terms and Conditions
By booking a place on the Open Mic Ready course, you agree to the following terms.
About City Vocal Coach and your teacher
City Vocal Coach operates as an agency.
We connect students with self-employed vocal coaches and provide the studio, booking systems, and support that make our courses possible.
The Open Mic Ready course is delivered by your self-employed teacher. City Vocal Coach acts as agent, facilitating your booking and payment on your teacher’s behalf.
Your teacher is responsible for the delivery of the course.
Booking and payment
Your place is secured when full payment of £400 is received.
Payment is taken at the time of booking via our secure payment provider (Stripe).
Places are limited (maximum 8 students per course) and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Minimum numbers
The course requires a minimum of 7 students to run.
If we do not reach the minimum number, we will let you know as soon as possible and refund your payment in full.
Cancellations and refunds by you
If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing info@cityvocalcoach.com.
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the course start date will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made between 14 and 7 days before the start date will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date, or once the course has started, are non-refundable, as your place and materials will have been reserved for you.
We are unable to offer refunds or credits for individual sessions missed once the course has begun.
Any refunds due will be arranged through City Vocal Coach.
Cancellations or changes by us
In the unlikely event that the course needs to be cancelled, you will receive a full refund.
We reserve the right to change the teacher, dates, or venue if necessary due to circumstances beyond our control. Where a significant change is made, we will offer you the choice of an alternative or a full refund.
Attendance and participation
The course runs for five weekly sessions of 2.5 hours each. To get the most from the course, regular attendance is important, but attendance is your responsibility and missed sessions cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
The course culminates in a live performance at one of our open mic nights. Participation in the performance is encouraged but not compulsory.
Conduct
We want the course to be a supportive, positive experience for everyone. We ask all students to be respectful of their fellow participants and their teacher.
We reserve the right to remove any student whose behaviour is disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe, without refund.
Health and wellbeing
Please let your teacher know before the course begins of any health conditions, injuries, or access needs so they can support you appropriately.
Singing is a physical activity. You take part in the course at your own risk and are responsible for your own wellbeing during sessions.
Photography and filming
By booking a place on the course, you consent to being photographed and filmed during sessions and performances, and to City Vocal Coach using this material for promotional purposes. We will always check with you before filming or photographing, and you are free to decline on the day.

As the course is delivered by a self-employed teacher, responsibility for the delivery of the course rests with your teacher.
