Online singing lessons
Great singing lessons don't require a commute.
One-to-one singing lessons with specialist vocal coaches, delivered online via Google Meet. Same teachers, same quality, same results from wherever you are in the world.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars on Google · 1,000+ students taught · Lessons via Google Meet
Online lessons work. Here's why.
The idea that singing can only be taught in person is outdated. Your coach can hear every nuance of your voice through a good microphone. They can see your posture, your breath, your expression. They can demonstrate technique, share backing tracks, and give you real time feedback just as effectively online as in a studio.
What matters isn’t the room. It’s the teacher, the method, and the consistency. All three travel just fine over Google Meet.
Online singing lessons
If you can't get to Hoxton, we can come to you.
Our online students include professionals who travel constantly and need flexibility, people outside London who want specialist coaching they can’t find locally, and students who simply prefer learning from home. What they all have in common is that they make the same progress as anyone in our Hoxton studio.
And you won’t be doing it alone. Every online student joins our private WhatsApp community. A group of singers from across the UK supporting each other, sharing progress and staying connected between lessons. Distance doesn’t mean isolation.

EXCELLENT Based on 155 reviews Posted on Google Hemmy17 June 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing place for singing lessons. I was able to improve my voice and technique just after the first few lessons. Over time we worked on range, technique and tone. Sam is an amazing teacher as well. He's very patient and able to pick up on areas I need to improve for fast results. Would recommend!Posted on Google Jean-Baptiste G.15 June 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve just completed five singing lessons with Sam and I’m genuinely very happy with how it went. From our very first conversation, he understood what I was aiming for, as well as my musical tastes and influences. I was initially quite embarrassed about singing, but his professional and supportive approach helped me break through that mental barrier. During the lessons, he helped me improve my vocal tuning, listening skills, and overall technique (tongue position, open throat, false vocal fold retraction). He also gave me valuable songwriting advice, especially on word choice to make my lyrics clearer and more natural, and helped me refine chord choices for my songs. Overall, I now have a much better understanding of how my voice works and what I’m capable of. This experience has been extremely motivating for my future creative work, and I would go back to Sam without hesitation in a heartbeat.Posted on Google Harrison Pierce11 June 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve had Sam as my vocal coach and he’s brilliant. He’s helped me discover things about my voice and singing habits that I was never aware of, as well as just how versatile my voice can be. The lessons are always fun, engaging and something I genuinely look forward to. It’s always a pleasure going there and I’ve learned a lot along the way. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to develop their voice.Posted on Google Andreas Baumbach11 June 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful one-to-one singing lessons with Sam Marlow. As a total beginner who never believed he could sing, I noticed an immediate difference. Very personal, very professional, and a lovely studio in Hoxton. I still struggle — but I'm learning, and I look forward to every session. Highly recommended.Posted on Google Emma Rivera9 June 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to City Vocal Coach for helping me develop my vocals and, most importantly, my confidence as a singer. Through the excellent vocalisation techniques and the guidance on how to truly connect with the melody and lyrics of a song, I have been able to unlock aspects of my voice that I never knew I was capable of. I now feel much more confident singing songs that I once found challenging, especially those that required me to reach higher ranges and express greater emotion. What makes CVC even more special is its wonderful community of people who share the same passion for music and performing. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to participate in the showcase, which was an unforgettable experience. Everyone was so welcoming, encouraging, and supportive. The coaches are exceptional, and I feel especially blessed to have found a coach as talented, patient, and inspiring as Sam. His guidance has helped me grow not only as a vocalist but also as a performer. Thank you, City Vocal Coach, for creating such a positive and inspiring environment where people are encouraged to grow, challenge themselves, and become better musicians. I am incredibly grateful to be part of this community.Posted on Google Nigel Hinds16 May 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Expert and encouraging coaching which made a real difference to my skills and confidencePosted on Google Amine14 May 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Malin is a very talented and attentive vocal coach. She can play along to virtually any song on both guitar and piano, which makes lessons even more enjoyable. I’ve had a great experience and highly recommend her!Posted on Google Jeremy Ireland22 April 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was an ok singer but a terrible performer when I started this. It's a super quick burst of classes that lifts you up and puts you on a stage with no excuses or get-outs.. which is just what I needed! I learnt a range of techniques to better guarantee that confident onstage feeling. And the value of truly committing to performance..Ive performed several times since, and the songs I workshopped on the course are always the ones performed best. Highly recommended.Posted on Google Estella Shi10 April 2026Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just finished the open mic ready course, it was such a safe and supportive place to learn and push yourself beyond the comfort zone!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. FAQ
Yes. Your coach can hear and see everything they need to assess and develop your voice. Technique, posture, breath control, pitch — all of it is teachable online. Many of our students who started online have never felt the need to switch to in-person lessons.
A device with a camera and microphone like a laptop, phone or tablet. A quiet space where you feel comfortable singing. A stable internet connection. That’s it.
The same way they do in-person lessons, listening carefully and responding specifically to what your voice is doing. Your coach can also share backing tracks, demonstrate techniques on camera, and if useful, record the session so you can review it afterwards.
Online lessons are easier to fit around a busy life than in-person ones. No travel time, no commute. You can be in a lesson from your living room, a hotel room, or wherever you happen to be.
Yes. Many of our students do both depending on the week. Your teacher, your progress and your block booking all stay the same regardless of format.
All of them. Pop, soul, musical theatre, folk, jazz, original songwriting. Our teachers cover every style and none of that changes online.
