Singing Lesson FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Using the voice well means producing sound without hurting yourself in the process. It means using it fully and energetically for several hours and still have it as free and flexible at the end of your day’s work as in the beginning. It must be a completely flexible and accurate instrument of expression and communication that’s absolutely under your control.
Everyone is different, so we like to start our singing lessons with a quick chat about your goals and aspirations and discuss where you feel you are with your voice and your experience of lessons so far. Next, we might start with a few exercises to get you comfortable singing in front of your new teacher and start your journey into good vocal techniques. Finally, we will work on a song, so make sure you come with an idea of a song you might like to do. Some students want to jump straight into a song; some want to work on technique. Whatever you want to achieve, we will make it happen.
